ROSA del Raval (ROSA NEGRA)

Mexican cuisine is loved all around the world. Barcelona hosts a few spots scattered around the city, which are a must. In Raval the one to go to is: Rosa del Raval.

As soon as you walk in the first thing that hits you is the design. Full of colours and weird items such as flip-flops and dolls on the walls, you get a real sense of a unique spot when you arrive.

They’re always busy by night, really vibrant and energetic places to start everything off. Therefore if you're groups bigger than 8 people, make sure you call to reserve a table (unfortunately they do not accept reservations for fewer people than that nor during weekends).

MENU DEL DIA:

Everyday from 13:00 to 16:30 from Monday to Friday, you can enjoy the Menu del Dia, for 10,60€.

You get in fact, for a very affordable price an awesome combination of dishes, you can choose from. A first starter combined with a main course dish, a drink and a coffee or dessert. Don't forge that Rosa Negra and Rosa del Raval serve their very own bottled beer, if you're a beer lover and you're curious enough to try something new, give it a try.

My favourite combination would be:

Flautas as a Starter & Pulled pork quesadillas or Chicken Fajitas as the Main Course. I'm not a fan of desserts, so being the italian i am, I'd order the usual coffee any from my country would conclude his meal with, and of course White Wine as a drink (probably not just one glass hehe).

If you think food seems already fantastic enough, you will be even more happy to know they serve Daiquiris, Margaritas and Mojitos for just 3,90€ each. Reason why at night the place gets easily crowded, lots of people choose it for their afterworks or for some fun dinners with their friends. When the price of food and drinks is so valid, a come back is understandable and it becomes a constant in many locals or expats routine.

Surely Maracuja (Fruit Passion) Daiquiri

The sweet taste of the fruit meets the sour and spicy of the topping put all around the glass, tickling and refreshing your throat.
