Amarre 69 is definitely one of my favourite spots in town. It's 5 minutes away from the beach, it has a nice terrace where you can enjoy the breeze and the heath of the sun, the food is good, the cocktails are great and the staff is always cheerful and welcoming.

Amarre69

Takes its name from the word 'moor' translated in Spanish and 69 from the number where the bar is located in the street (Passeig Joan de Borbó, 69 Barcelona, 08003 (Spain) ) Strategically located one minute away from the Barceloneta beach, Amarre 69 is a gastrobar inspired by the neighbourhood's seafaring tradition offering quality food and drink in a welcoming and cosmopolitan atmosphere.

"Amarre69 is ideal for an aperitif in good company, a cocktail in the afternoon or a good gin and tonic once the night has fallen. We have started the bar we would like as customers. We enjoy eating and drinking only the best and since our customers are our reason for being we only offer them what we like."

Amarre's owner, Vincent, is a great man who's will to work and collaborate with his staff is admirable and to be taken example of. He doesn't just work side by side with his staff, but also supports them when needed. He chooses his members one by one with the purpose of creating a collaborative team and a bit of a family. That's probably why, when you go there you feel happy and part of something bigger. Also on Wednesday they've got a promotion, and you get a bucket with 3 Coronas for just 4€.

My favourites?

Plus on weekends they bar is filled up with dancing and singing people, and Sundays are sort of a big deal for Amarre's usual customers, since there's a DJ set by Gigi El Amoroso, and everyone goes there day drinking and dancing.

So what are you waiting for? Go grab a sandwich, enjoy a salad, one of their fresh juices or taste one of their cocktails.
